Successful Salvation Army Project

On Tuesday December 6, 2011 the University Kiwanis Club sponsored an evening of giving with the Salvation Army’s “Meals on Wheels” program.  Some 350  bags of gifts and food items were assembled by Kiwanis Club members along with members of our sponsored KEY Clubs and UAA CKI members.  In about 1 and 1/2 hours the group worked the assembly line and filled all the bags to then be delivered by the Salvation Army to local people served by the Meals on Wheels program. Have a Merry Christmas!
This year we receive donations from:

Annual Christmas Baskets for Salvation Army

Tuesday evening 12/08/09 saw 14  members of the University Kiwanis team accompanied by 8  KEY Club members from East (3) and (5) Bartlett KEY Clubs gathered together at the Salvation Army’s McKinnell House for our annual Christmas Basket Project.  In just short of 2 hours we assembled 360 bags of canned food, toiletries,  and fresh fruit to be delivered to Anchorage people by the Army’s “Meals on Wheels” program.  We had a total of some 70 hours of service time.  Congratulations for a job well done.
